  last month i heard a talk from a c.o.

  he mentioned that the door to door service will come to an end.

  he said that jehovah will tell us to stop it, eventually.

  Would You Listen To A Prayer From A JW And Say Amen If They Said A Prayer In Your Presence?

  my mom has had visits from various jws and they have asked her if they could say a prayer before they left.

  i respectfully listened to the prayers while i was visiting and might silently say amen if i felt the prayer was appropriate for my mom.. i'm just curious, how would you handle this type of situation?.

  No more blood card

  what a day!

  first of all one of my electronic devises broke so the store said they would replace it i just needed to show id, i removed my license from my wallet and saw my blood card staring me in the face i couldn't stand looking at it so i took it and crumpled it up and threw it away, upon leaving the store i had a car accident it the parking lot, nobody was terribly injured but it was my fault so i feel bad...but i also feel elated that i tore up the card, what if i had a really bad accident and i needed blood?

  what could have happened to me?

  One of the 1st things I did once I realized they were BS!!!! After throwing away my no blood card, Got a living will!!! I'm healthy under 40 but I know what happens.

  How do you work through the Anger

  how do you deal with the anger when your parents stop talking to you?

  my partner says i should continue to confront them but it builds so much anger in me and i sometimes i think i should just let it go and bring balance back to my own life.

  it's sort of sureal to mourn your parents while they are still alive.

  Sorry for your pain and anger Jworld! I like how you said mourn the living. When my dad got DF'ed 15 years ago or so that is how I felt. I felt like he died. To quote myself back then "It's worse then death because the dead get resurected, they are in Jehovah's hands. My dad is in his own hands with no help"

  Kinda sick to think that way. Well my brother is still in and has nothing to do with me. He was the reason it took me so long to leave leave.... It just takes time and some times you have no choice but to be upset. I am happier now and I will be there for him if he ever wants out. I think that's all I can do. I write on this forum and get help Love you all

  When we move to a more poulated place I plan on getting some therapy. It's been almost four years and I think I could use some help getting over the next hill....

  When we went through the Revalation book for the umpfthteen time. I decided to change it up by doing extra research to prove there point. After chapter three I stopped doing that because the more I learned the more douts I got, so I just underlinded the answer they wanted.... waaaa I should have woken up

  ...take a look at this from page 29 of the latest october 2012 awake!.

  the gloves are now well-and-truly off.

  referring to facebook as a "social networking website" clearly isn't working.. the society now feels compelled to start being more specific about which websites it doesn't want you to visit!.

  Oh i so don't care if the whole world knew what I post on FB. I don't write, post anything so interesting. They get more out of our credit cards and what we surf on the internet, or watch on TV..... then what we ate for lunch on FB....

  I love the paranoid thinking of JW's reminds me of how far I have come

  Ex-JW Teens Get Screwed Out of College

  my kid sister is dfd and can't get federal aid because she is still considered a dependant.

  she lives alone, has no job at the moment, and has no friends.

  my folks won't give her a dime for college, so she's basically screwed.

  I did the emancipated minor thing..... wasn't too hard. Just had to prove I payed my bills myself
